About me

My name is Marc, but you can also call me Marki. That’s the name I mainly use in competitions. I’m 29 years old and I spent my entire life in Switzerland, in the canton of Fribourg. Today, I live in Switzerland’s capital city, Bern.

I have been practicing my sport for 13 years now. It is my passion and something that occupies a large part of my life. My sport and my art have allowed me to perform throughout Switzerland, across Europe, and even worldwide. In 2025 alone, I completed 75 performances in Switzerland, France, Germany, and even Kuwait.

My most defining experience remains my tour with the Cirque Knie, a true symbol and institution in Switzerland. 320 performances for this legendary circus. Even today, I sometimes find it hard to fully realize.

Beyond performances, I am highly focused on competitions. I am a four-time Swiss champion (2019, 2021, 2024 and 2025) and I have no intention of stopping there. Since 2019, I have had the honor of representing Switzerland as the number one athlete in all international competitions. I have also competed three times at Red Bull Street Style, which brings together the 16 best freestylers in the world. In 2025, I once again finished in the Top 20 worldwide in my discipline.

Outside of my sport, I am also a passionate chess enthusiast ♟️ (around 1500 Elo, for those who know). I also played football for 14 to 15 years, mainly as a central defender.

Finally, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Sciences in 2019 in the canton of Valais. I then worked for over four years in marketing before becoming self-employed to fully dedicate myself to my passion.

Learn more about me

I started playing football at a very young age, when I was just 6 years old. For more than ten years, this sport shaped my daily life. I played until the age of 17 and had the opportunity to represent the Fribourg regional teams up to the U16 category.

At the age of 13, I discovered freestyle football. At first, it was mainly curiosity: a few juggles, some early tricks, and a lot of trial and error. At that time, traditional football took up too much space for me to fully dedicate myself to freestyle.

At 17, after stepping away from competitive football, I decided to commit seriously to freestyle football. The freedom, creativity, and personal expression this discipline offers sparked a true passion. In 2018, I joined the Swiss freestyle football team Urban Level.

That same year, I took part in my first international competitions, including the European Championships in Berlin. However, it was in 2019 that my career truly took off. During my first appearance at the open World Championships in Prague (Superball), I finished among the Top 64 freestylers in the world.

Just a few weeks later, I won my first Swiss championship title. This achievement allowed me to represent Switzerland at the Red Bull Street Style World Championships in Miami.

The year 2021 confirmed this progression. I won the Swiss championship for the second time, becoming the most successful freestyle footballer in Switzerland. Shortly after, a dream came true: out of 2,500 participants, I qualified for the Top 16 in the world at Red Bull Street Style in Valencia.

In 2022, a shoulder surgery forced me into a several-month break. This injury prevented me from competing at the World Championships and Swiss Championships, but it also strengthened my mental resilience and determination.

In 2023, I made my return at the highest level by once again qualifying among the Top 16 freestylers in the world at Superball.

In 2024, I experienced something entirely new: my first circus tour, and with a true institution. I took part in the full tour of the Cirque Knie, the Swiss National Circus. That same year, I won my third Swiss championship title.

In 2025, I confirmed my form once again by winning my fourth Swiss championship title.

Thanks to my years of experience, I have had the opportunity to demonstrate my professionalism at numerous events across Switzerland. I have collaborated with institutions and organizations such as UEFA, the Olympic Museum, Swiss Olympic, and Swisscom, as well as several football clubs including FC Sion, Servette FC, and BSC Young Boys, among many others.
