1 Month and 41 Football Freestyle Shows at the Düsseldorf Christmas Circus

December was by far the busiest month of my year. The Düsseldorf Christmas Circus in Germany invited our duo Boyka & Marki, created during the Cirque Knie tour in 2024, to perform under a big top with over 1,000 seats.

41 shows.That’s the number of performances we delivered in just 25 days. An intense and physically demanding month, but the magic of the circus always gives us an incredible amount of energy.

Sometimes I don’t fully realize how lucky I am to experience opportunities like this. Being able to share my passion in another country, meet new and talented artists, and live special moments on stage with my Colombian partner… I wouldn’t trade this path into the circus world for anything.

Our performance was very well received in Germany. Many people are still surprised to see football freestyle as part of a circus show. But apparently, it always makes an impact, whether you’re a football fan or not.

In short, a busy, intense and joyful end of the year… even though I unfortunately spent Christmas away from my family.

Now it’s full focus on 2026, a year that already promises to be intense, with the 2026 World Cup coming up this summer.
